The Traveling Panda: City of Lights

Hello lovelies,

Las Vegas has been the subject of conversation  here for the past couple days. D’s boss is sending him to Blackhat 2016 August 2-5 and we, okay I, am currently looking up flights that coincide nicely with the shuttle system from Southern Wisconsin to O’Hare in Chicago. After the excitement of going to Las Vegas set in he got a big smile on his face and was like I’m gonna kick your ass at Pokemon Go. For those of you that have not heard of it, Pokemon go is an app on iOS and Android devices that uses your location and makes you physically leave your home to walk around outdoors and catch Pokemon, but enough about that. He’s been sent to Vegas several times for work staying at both Treasure Island and the Mirage, this time it is looking like he is staying at the Trump Hotel and commuting down to Mandalay Bay each day.

This whole discussion has led both of us reminisce on trips to Vegas, a place we have both traveled to but never together, thanks to the switch from MySpace to Facebook almost 10 years ago, all of my Vegas pictures have somehow mysteriously disappeared apparently I started using Facebook a few months after my Vegas trip – g0 figure. Thankfully D has all of his pictures stored nicely. 558518_10100677177508017_188705445_n545471_10100400668379527_1254498342_n531804_10100677177483067_1251059118_n530637_10100400668434417_1409604044_n554240_10100400669327627_1836423269_n76037_10100677177428177_719743736_n44608_10100677177248537_2042532234_n

One day I would love to actually get to go to this wonderful city with D but that’s not going to happen without a few years of saving. If we’re going to do Vegas together I want to do it right. What are some of your favorite places in Vegas? Do you stick to the casino side, explore the streets and take in the lights, wonder the shops wishing you could afford stuff or avoid the city all together? We want to know!
